RAH Research can offer genealogists, medal collectors etc a service to research servicemen’s records and regimental histories for information about their service. Over the years, we have visited local and national record offices, national libraries and regimental museums for information for research purposes. We also possess a wide range of Regimental Histories and are particularly strong in Volumes on both the First and Second World Wars. (see the bottem of the page for a list of some of these volumes.) All research enquiries will be quoted for on a one to one basis.

RAH Research has a database containing the names and whereabouts of over 25000 photographs of First World War soldiers. It is possible your ancestor or the original recipient of a medal owned by yourselves is included on this database.

Please complete the enquiry form listing all your available information that you hold to find out if this is so. Should RAH Research confirm this we will be happy to receive an order to search for and provide a copy.

Please allow 28 days from receipt of an order for delivery.

Photographs will be  priced at £5.00 per copy plus P&P of £1.95.  Please note that certain of these photographs are from newspapers and that quality of results will vary.

Local newspapers researched include the Staffordshire Weekly Sentinel, Staffordshire Advertiser, Burton Daily Mail, Midlands Advertiser, Midlands Chronicle, Uttoxeter Advertiser, Cheadle & Tean Times, Cheadle Herald, Walsall Observor, Walsall Pioneer, Lichfield Mercury etc.

The Regimental War Diaries of both the North & South Staffordshire Regiments were used during the production of the notes. The China Dragon and Staffordshire Knot Regimental Magazines were also examined for information.
